Assalam Alaikum,

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to share excellent news with you.

Two teams from the ICS Department won the 1st and 2nd prize in the National Programming Contest that was held yesterday (Tuesday Oct 9, 2018) in Abha. Both teams solved 9 problems out of 10 and they were ahead of other teams by time difference.

Also, we had a third "Unofficial Team" who solved 8 problems. If they were official, they would have been in the 5th place.

In total, there were 58 teams in the contest. King Faisal Uni, Imam Uni, and King Saud Uni won the 3rd, 4th, and 5th positions, respectively.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all students for their hard work preparing for such contests.
